Star Trek

So the new Star Trek movie is coming out this weekend. Ben is very excited to go see it! I was raised in a Star Trek/Star Wars home (hello? we named our dog Yoda) and I'm excited, too. I just hate theatres with big crowds but we'll probably go see it release weekend for Ben's sake. =]

And have you seen that Burger King has brought back the glasses? My Mom had all the Disney movie glasses they sold. So I swung by the BK today at lunchtime and figured I'd buy one with my lunch. But did you know you can get all 4 of the glasses for $6.99? I was thrilled since otherwise you have to pay $1.99 per glass & that's only if you buy a value meal. We're more dollar menu people, not to mention I personally despise BK food. And really the only reason I went was for the Star Trek glass and now I'm done in one transaction and don't have to go back & eat anymore of their food to get the collection. Although now to figure out if I go back and buy a 2nd set. One to use and one to collect?

my mom always bought the glasses too.

my friend's husband and brother (jon heder) went to the premiere.... crazy. they said it wasn't their fav star trek movie, but it was good.

bk is way better than mcdonalds...especially the fries.

i had all of those disney glasses, too. brian wants to go see the new trek movie... because there is supposedly a transformer trailer before it. even though he has seen them all. and we only went to the wolverine movie so he could see the new one... it's a sickness, i tell you. really - it is.

yeeeah...we've got all the star trek glasses, too. I'm not sure why, because neither my husband nor I are big fans. Maybe he just liked the glasses?

Oh yeah - the fast food thing grosses me out (except for McDonalds fries...) But those collectors items are just a part of childhood.
