A night without children

otherwise known as our 6th Anniversary!!! =]

Last Friday, we stayed the night at a hotel to celebrate our anniversary. Yes, we actually went a whole night without our children with us. (very hard for some of you to believe, I know) But, it was a nice break. We acted silly and were at Wal-Mart at 2am shopping for ice cream & soda. Ahhh, just like old times. But come 10am we were very ready to see our little ones and be Mom & Dad.

And I didn't have much time to blog during that week since I was cleaning like a mad woman so we could come back to a nice clean home. It's such a nice feeling.

However since it's gotten chilly this week, so I haven't kept up the clean home I had last weekend at all. That whole "having to cross the carport to wash clothes" gets me everytime it's cold. We will have it clean in time for the Thanksgiving holiday but for right now Ben & I are sick with some kind of bug.

Wheeee!

Ben has arranged for us to go on a date tonight! his Mom is coming over to watch the little ones. Even Josie is supposed to stay home. I'm not sure how I feel about that yet. Actually, I'm quite anxious about that! Anyway, so we went grocery shopping at Wal-Mart today and of course it starts flooding about halfway there. If I had known it was going to be flooding, I wouldn't have hauled all 3 kids with me. We were soaked by the time we got inside. After grabbing enough food so we wouldn't starve, it was time to drop the cold stuff off at the house. And then off to playgroup where we celebrated Kallie's 2nd birthday from 11-1. And the kids were pooped when we got home, but only took a 2 hr. nap. While Josie decided she wanted to stay awake. So, i have a little less that 2 hours to clean up the house and get myself ready. I guess I work well under pressure? we'll see.

Valentine's Date

So Ben has been feeling better. And we went and celebrated Valentine's Day. Our babysitter got sick, but we were able to find a back-up quickly. I'm very glad we were able to enjoy the afternoon together. It was long overdue and very much needed
