History

I'm not very good with words. Today is very conflicting for me emotionally. There are a few scriptures and 2 quotes that best express how I feel about Usama bin Laden being killed.

For behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do (2 Nephi 32:3) Prov 24.17, "Do not gloat when your enemy falls; when they stumble, do not let your heart rejoice"; Ezek 18.32, "I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, says the Lord"; Ezek 33.11, "I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked."

I have never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure." Mark Twain

‎"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate:… only love can do that." -Martin Luther King, Jr.

But I did find a blog post that struck a very deep chord in me and since she is better with words I'm just going to share it with you. http://ordinaryhappilyeverafter.com/blog/2011/05/conflicted/
