What to do first

Wow. It's been a busy while since I blogged last. We've dealt with some stomach bug problems and that always throws me off my projects. I just have to touch up trim in kids rooms and finish hanging all the stuff on the walls and they will-for the most part- be done. I still have to build a side table for Carlise's room and headboards for "the twins".

I found a super easy tutorial for the side table at Not JUST a Housewife. I heart her. She loves her power tools, too! Since I'm always on the lookout for tools to add to our collection, I went ahead and bought a pneumatic air gun & compressor for this project. I found a great deal on a refurbished one from Sears for only $55 for the kit. It was missing a few connection pieces, so I've been waiting on Ben to complete it for me. He was finally over at Lowe's and picked up just what I needed to get down to business. He also cut all my pieces when we pulled out the miter saw the other day. Speaking of which- the reason it was pulled out was to cut the transition piece for the flooring from  the living room to kitchen. It's only been without one for about a year. oh well. It should does look lovely now.

I now have more painting to do in the home. Josie took a black crayon to my walls. She was able to get most of it off, but since it was black it left enough of a line to annoy my OCD. Thankfully majority of her "artwork" was in the hallway. Since I still need to patch the stupid hole in the wall, I'm waiting until that's done and will just paint all in one go. Have I mentioned the hole in the hallway? There was a grate in our hallway and I was curious what it was for and so I took it off. I think at one point in time the space was an air return, however they closed it off as some point, but just put a grate cover on instead of patching the wall completely. *sigh* So that's our stupid hole in the hallway wall.
