Papa Joe (Ben's grandpa) came over today to help us install a new stove & rangehood. It took all morning because we had to cut some wood and such, but It's beautiful. I also included pictures of lights we've updated.
And I've added a poll to the side to see what you think about the hallway doors. If it's "other" then please comment & explain. =]
Oh yeah, and the reason for the home improvements? we're selling our home and moving just a few miles away. We'll still be in the same ward at church and near everything, but our budget won't be stretched so tight.

If you do decide to paint the doors, use a very good primer first. My Dad painted some in my house, and they look like crap.
i voted 'paint them'... but will still leave a comment explaining why. i'm nothing if i'm not thorough :). painting them a light, neutral color will give the illusion of more space. the dark wood makes the space seem smaller than it actually is - and lack of space is not something that will sell a potential buyer on your home. this will also help make the rooms on the other side of those doors appear larger. trust me.
ditto to heather's comment, though. a very good primer is a must.
Wow!!! You'll have to tell me sometime where you're moving to! When is all that going to happen?
yeah what heather said. personally i like all my doors white.
I don’t think you should paint the doors. I have yet to see doors painted that look good, even with good primer. If they are new doors it looks good, but with the age of the house and the doors I don’t think it would be in your best interest. If it was me I would go and get a nice stain and do the doors to give it a nice rich color and then have a good contrast in the hall. I think that if the walls and the doors are the same color it will just look blah. That is just my thought. Well, I took a pull at the funeral home and they don’t think you should paint the doors either. But just do what makes you happy!
